Laser Therapy / Fotona

Skin tightening, skin volumization (wrinkle reduction), acne reduction, and removal of scarring.

What are Fotona Lasers?

Fotona lasers are non-invasive tools with special functions used in facial esthetic procedures such as lightening scars, reducing acne, tightening and volumizing the skin, and removing spider veins.

Instead of one, Fotona lasers incorporate two light wavelengths in their system, enhancing their capability to produce superior regenerative results without the need for surgery.

Nd:YAG and Er:YAG laser treatments.

At CARE Esthetics, we focus on utilizing the most advanced regenerative tools available to produce superior facial aesthetics for our clients. Fotona Lasers, founded over 50 years ago, is a world-wide recognized laser company that delivers state of the art technology with the most advanced developers of high-technology laser systems to rejuvenate skin.

Fotona Laser systems are non-invasive laser treatments that utilize four treatment modes to perform esthetic facial treatments including skin tightening, skin volumization (wrinkle reduction), acne reduction, and removal of scarring and spider veins.

The Fotona Laser system, unlike its competitors, incorporates two wavelengths of light in their system (as opposed to only 1 with other lasers), thus enabling far greater regenerative skin outcomes with the ability to perform anything from hair removal, treating veins, all the way to skin tightening and everything in between.

Benefits of Fotona Lasers:

Laser Therapy Using the Fotona Laser Ultimate Package

Our CARE Esthetics clinics offer two ultimate packages you can choose from depending on your skin concerns. Read more about them below.

PACKAGE 1
Nd:YAG Lasers

Treatment of Deep Tissues

The Nd:YAG laser light at Fotona is capable of penetrating into deeper tissues in the skin to selectively target collagen formation within many skin depths and layers. The thermal energy of the laser heats the tissue, causing long-lasting collagen formation for skin rejuvenation when utilized at specific protocols and wavelengths developed at Fotona.

Furthermore, with Fotona’s Q-switched technology, laser light can also be transformed into photoacoustic waves which mechanically break apart unwanted pigments, thereby facilitating age spot removal utilizing the body’s own immune system.

  • No downtime
  • Minimally invasive laser treatment
  • Restore a more youthful, natural-looking appearance
  • Lasers work by emitting a wavelength of high-energy light, which when focused on a certain skin condition will create heat and destroy diseased cells

PACKAGE 2
Er:YAG Lasers

Treatment of Superficial Lesions

The Er:YAG laser wavelength targets the uppermost layer of skin, enabling extremely precise, layer-by-layer ablation of the upper-most skin layer (the epidermis). This natural skincare is the perfect tool for mole removal, tissue tag removal, age spot removal, and any type of surface scar. The energy of the laser is absorbed by the water content in the skin cells and the tissue can be vaporized in a painless procedure.

This causes the treated skin to shrink and stimulate the production of new collagen in the dermis. The overall result is that new skin forms which is smoother and tighter. The Er:YAG lasers thus provides the widest possible range of skin rejuvenation treatments (collagen remodeling, skin tightening, light peels).

When utilized in combination with the Nd:Yag, laser wavelengths can lead to rapid and long-lasting esthetic results.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Initial laser therapies are usually conducted with 2-3 sessions and approximately 1 month apart in order to rapidly stimulate the body’s healing process and collagen production, thereby ensuring the best possible facial rejuvenation results. Thereafter, skin treatments are typically recommended once per year.

Treatments with lasers typically last 20-30 minutes. You may return to work directly thereafter with little to no downtime if the laser treatment is performed intra-orally. With skin resurfacing, you may have redness for up to 72 hours post-therapy.

Within 3 to 5 days. The effects will last 1 year following the initial phase of treatment. Thereafter, yearly ‘touch-up’ appointments may be utilized to maintain skin texture and skin tightening.

Lasers are virtually painless for most with many procedures not being felt by patients at all.
